All surfaces that are to be repaired with Arisfor Patch Kit must be sound and free from any bond obstructing substances such as loose debris, grease, oil and any other contaminates or impeding materials. Sweep away any standing water from application site. Surface and ambient temperature required to be 40°F (5°C) and rising. Cut Arisfor Mesh to desired size to cover patch area before mixing.
In a clean 1 gallon pail, add 12 ounces (¾) of Arisfor Bond, the liquid component. Gradually add cementitious component with a slow speed drill (400-600 rpms) and mix with a high viscosity mixing paddle. When mixing the Patch Kit, always pour Arisfor Bond into the mixing pail first, then slowly add the cement based component. Mix a minimum of 3-5 minutes to achieve a homogeneous, lump-free consistency. If too thick, add additional Bond until desired consistency. Let mixture rest for 5-8 minutes prior to application. Remix before beginning application. DO NOT MIX WITH WATER.
Set aside ¼ of blended material prior to beginning application. Arisfor Patch Kit may be applied by brush, roller, trowel, squeegee, Magic Trowel, or spray. Apply the base material so that it is level with the existing substrate and then embed the mesh, working from the center to the edges, while mixture is still wet. The additional ¼ of blended material may be applied to ensure mesh is uniformly covered and the desired finish is achieved. May be back in service to pedestrian traffic in approximately 3-4 hours. Clean tools with water before product permanently adheres. Floors, metal, concrete, wood, tile or any surface not intended to be coated, should be wiped clean using a wet cloth within minutes of application to avoid permanent adhesion.
Moving cracks may reflect in finished product
Do not apply over expansion joints
Product working time is approximately 45 minutes at 70°F (21°C)
- Start in the middle of project and work outward
- Clean tools periodically with clean water throughout application process & clean fully at end
- When trowelling, keep tools coated with liquid bond.
- A spray bottle of liquid bond is recommended. If material sets rapidly, spray on liquid bond to refresh wet material to achieve desired finish.
- DO NOT MIX WITH WATER
